RIGID BED FRAME SUPPORT SYSTEMS
Is your mattress sagging?
The problem may be inadequate bed frame support.
Have you purchased a contemporary thick mattress set? Mattress manufacturers’ warranties require rigid bed frame support. You must have rigid support around the perimeter as well as through the center of your sleep set. Inadequate support may cause your mattress to sag and void your mattress warranty.
By having an adequate bed frame support system beneath your mattress set, you will:
• prevent mattress sag due to an inadequate bed frame support system
• achieve optimum support and comfort from your mattress set
• extend the useful life of your mattress set
• protect the manufacturer’s warranty on your mattress set
It has been found that in a vast majority of consumer complaints involving a sagging mattress, an inadequate bed frame support system is a significant contributing factor, or the entire cause.
What constitutes an adequate support system? (This definition of adequate support meets or exceeds manufacturers’ warranty requirements.)
An adequate bed frame support system, for all size mattress sets, consists of rigid, non-flexing, perimeter support beneath the box spring (that is rigid support across the head, the foot, and along both sides), as well as rigid support passing through the center beneath the box spring. The center support can run either head to foot or side to side. However, for mattress sets with split box springs (as in a king size bed) the center support needs to run head to foot to adequately support both box springs.
All of our metal slat systems provide the rigid support needed for today’s thicker, heavier mattress sets. Our metal slat systems attach to your existing wood or metal bed that has a headboard and footboard with rigid side rails. If you do not have this type of wood or metal bed, you may want to purchase a free-standing steel bed frame.
